When did you open your Etsy shop?
What inspired you to start your business?
People would often want to buy pottery from me.
How would you describe your business?
In my business I primarily make and sell dinnerware made from various stoneware clays. I employ a variety of techniques to create aesthetic, durable, and functional ceramic pieces for everyday use. Pieces are hand formed on a potters wheel, trimmed, fired, glazed and re-fired in the ceramic making process.
I have learned the art and science of pottery from a young age when my father taught me as well as being self-taught. I think what makes my ceramics unique is how I simplify the product to allow the quality of materials and function of the pieces to be highlighted. I also think my ability to maintain precision and consistency from one item to the next is a trait that distinguishes my dinnerware.
