Walkerville Candles
Walkerville Candles is a local Ontario business based in Windsor. This Ontario candle brand has thought of every scent imaginable for their candles. They have popular scents like vanilla bean and spiced cranberry but they also have very unusual scents. For example, ‘Unicorn Farts’ (our nieces would think this one is hilarious), zucchini bread, cotton candy and ‘WTF Karen!’. The labels for each candle are just as fun as the names and scents. These candles make a perfect gift idea or you can enjoy them yourself. They’ll definitely fill your home with delicious scents, put a smile on your face or even make you laugh.Â
Y & S Homegoods: Canadian Candles
Each candle from local Hamilton Ontario shop, Y & S Homegoods, is carefully hand poured, made from 100% soy wax and beautifully displayed in glass mason jars with simple and modern looking labels. Y & S Homegoods even offer a DIY kit for candle making. They provide the jars, soy wax, different scents, wicks and most importantly the instructions so you can give candle making a try!
Kind Reason Co.
The Kind Reason Co. is a Canadian candle business and local Ontario shop based in Wellesley. Their candles feature all natural coconut wax blends, premium fragrances that are free from harmful phthalates. Their bestselling candle scent is a mix of lemon zest, jasmine and sandalwood with a few other scents mixed in. They also sell a beautiful collection of dough bowl candles.
Country Cabin Candles & Soaps
Country Cabin Candles & Soaps is a local Ontario shop based in Val Caron that creates all-natural soy wax candles and goat milk soaps for the ingredient-conscious consumer. Their best selling candle, Black Raspberry Vanilla, is the perfect balance of the warm sweetness of vanilla and the bold fruitiness of raspberry.
Market Candle Company
Hygge is a Danish word for the mood of coziness and is the inspiration for Market Candle Company’s (based in Newmarket, ON) best selling candle. Each one is hand poured with no dyes and scented with notes of soft coconut and warm musk.
St. Jacobs Candle Co.
We were first introduced to St. Jacobs Candle Co. through the Acre75 Gathered Canadian subscription box. They make beautiful candles that come in clear and auburn glass jars. They offer some of the most unique scents such as:
- Yard Work: A mixture of freshly mowed grass.
- Spring Fling: This will fill your home with the aroma’s of peaches, sandalwood and patchouli.
- Hallmark Movie: At Christmas they create this candle and somehow they seemed to capture the exact scent you would expect for a Hallmark Movie.
Each candle is hand poured with 100% soy wax, high quality fragrance oils and uses a high tensile paper wicks.
Hereward Farms
Hereward Farms is a local Ontario shop and lavender farm based in East Garafraxa. Along with a collection of lavender-infused bath & body products, cleaning products (and more), they create soy wax candles. Their most popular candle scent is lemon, lavender and vanilla. Their candles are made using environmentally friendly ingredients, soy wax and lavender that is grown on their local lavender farm.
