What inspired you to start your business?
A loathe of carpet cat towers. There were limited options for something the cat would actually use and that I would be okay with having on full display in my living room. Also, limited floor space, so the idea of it being wall-mounted was ideal. Really, cats just look down on us anyway, so this just made sense.
How do you describe your business?
A proudly Canadian, home-based purveyor of high-quality, stylish, handmade wall-mounted cat hammocks and scratchers. Our products offer space-saving versatility, whether you have one cat or many. The attachment to the wall studs is easy and secure. Each scratcher is hand-wound, and every soft fleece hammock is lovingly sewn. We have been approached to expand and have them made by machine or not in Canada, but I feel that each piece is both useful, beautiful, and a mini piece of art. What better way to show off your cat than as a living sculpture?

Why do you think it’s so popular?
I think the neutral hammock colour works well for any home. Our sisal steps do triple duty: 1st they provide a way for the cat to access the hammock higher up on the wall; 2nd they are wide enough to act as another place to perch; and 3rd the natural sisal offers a cat-safe, hard-wearing scratching surface (no ripped up carpet fibers!)
What’s your personal favourite product?
My new fave is the fun polka dot print hammock. Full disclosure, I may have a slight fabric addiction. There are over 20 different colours and print options for the hammock, so you can match it to your cat or your decor.
What’s your favourite local Kelowna, BC business?
Sandrine French Pastry and Chocolate – Patisserie & Cafe, which is dangerously close to my home. Would also like to give a shout meowt for Catelowna Cat Cafe, which is purrfect for coffee, pet therapy, and cat adoption.
