I’m excited to introduce you to some incredible local Stratford Ontario stores. Stratford is an incredible community and one of my favourite towns to spend time in. When you arrive in town, it doesn’t take long to see a collection of amazing local shops along the main street (Ontario St) to check out. I’m also going to include a few online Stratford stores that you don’t want to miss.

Wills & Prior
If you have a love for beautiful home decor, original art, ceramics (and so much more) or are simply looking for a unique gift – head straight to Wills & Prior. Their curated collection of items to make your home feel cozy and thoughtfully decorated is outstanding. A few things that stood out to me are the beautiful large rugs on display, original art by Canadian artist Shane Norrie, colourful hand-dipped candles, and their impressive collection of furniture and ornaments.
Stilletos & Sawdust
Another shop along Ontario Street in Stratford that I recommend visiting is Stilletos & Sawdust. They have a mix of made in Canada products from a variety of other Canadian businesses along with home decor pieces like wood signs and wall art that they make themselves. It’s such a neat shop and has so many incredible gift ideas. I bought a lovely piece of pottery and a eucalyptus shower steamer as a gift for my sister (she loved it!).
Fanfare Books
Fanfare Books is located right next to Wills & Prior and you’ll definitely want to check out this local Stratford store, especially if you love books. Fanfare Books has such an iconic, historic looking storefront. It looks like it’s straight from a Hallmark movie. When you move inside, the cozy feeling continues. They have beautiful hardwood floors, a brick wall, and hundreds of books to peruse at your leisure. Since 1967 they’ve been offering bestselling books and old classics. If you’re a book lover, you’ll definitely want to add a visit to this Ontario book store to your bucket list.
Clover & Family
Clover & Family is a great online Stratford store. The owner, Leanne, sews beautiful quilts, coffee cozies, coasters, and baby blankets. She also makes baby loveys that would make a budget friendly baby shower gift idea. All of her products are reasonably priced and come in a wide range of beautiful fabrics.
Watson’s Chelsea Bazaar
Next up is Watson’s Chelsea Bazaar, another local Stratford store along Ontario Street. This shop is full of beautiful decor pieces, Christmas decorations, napkins, hand-carved figurines, greeting cards, wall art and so much more. You can definitely spend lots of time going up and down the aisles in this shop. They also carry one of our favourite Canadian brands – Cedar Mountain Studios.
Got It Made
Got It Made is a great store to find a range of products that are made in Ontario. They have everything from beeswax candles, stationery, wall art, DIY kits, stained glass, linen bread bags, ornaments, stickers, suncatchers, coasters, and so much more. This shop is full of gift ideas!
