Our bestselling product is the “SOLSTICE” soy wax candle, infused with deep sandalwood and hand-poured into a reusable matte vessel. It’s bold, meditative, and made for those who like their calm to have character.

Why do you think it’s so popular?

The SOLSTICE candle is popular because it offers something rare — depth. It’s made with 100% natural soy wax, a cotton wick, and a rich sandalwood scent that’s grounding, meditative, and bold. Unlike sweet or trendy fragrances, SOLSTICE has a smoky, resinous soul that stays with you. We hand-pour each candle in small batches and package it in a matte glass jar with minimalist branding. No additives, no phthalates — just raw, sacred calm. It burns evenly and cleanly, and customers say it turns any space into a quiet sanctuary.

What’s your personal favourite product from your own shop?

My personal favourite is ALKIDO THORN & CITRINE – Spa Salt Mix. It’s an unapologetic blend of Dead Sea salt, Himalayan salt, dried rose petals, and lemon essential oil — with coconut milk powder that turns the bath into a silky, milky haven. The floral scent is bold but balanced, and the ritual feels like reclaiming your time. It’s not just a soak — it’s a statement.

What’s your favourite local Toronto shop?

I absolutely love Curiosa in Toronto — it’s a magical, Harry Potter–inspired shop full of curiosities, stationery, and beautifully designed pieces. Stepping inside feels like entering another world. Their attention to detail and storytelling really align with what we aim for at ALKIDO. That said, I always try to support small, local businesses whenever I can — especially makers and independent brands who put their heart into what they create.
