Kasatka Orca Killer Whale Art print

Orca Coastal Watercolor Painting by Elena Markelova

Kasatka” Orca – this orca originally was painted for a friend of mine. She wanted it for her parents-in-law that live on Vancouver Island close to the sea. They’ve had many sights of killer whales for the years they’ve lived there. So I incorporated a typical view of a coast of Vancouver Island to this artwork. Since then, it has become a favourite for many of my collectors and I’m often asked to paint a similar piece for them. Every year for the month of June (Orca Awareness Month), I’m donating part of my profits from the sales of this art-print to a local Lifeforce Foundation. Killer Whale symbolizes family, romance, longevity, harmony, community and protection; and it has become a purpose of this artwork to support protecting orca whales and ensure their survival.
8×10″ and 11×14″ – Printed on uncoated paper similar to watercolor paper using highest quality inks. Packaged in cello sleeve with cardboard back for protection.
