What inspired you to start your business?
I started out designing everything—from bridal to sportswear—but after 9/11 2001, travel changed due to all the security lineups. People were packing lighter, flying differently, and looking for clothing that could keep up. It was actually my customers who inspired the shift to travel fashion. They needed pieces that worked harder and packed smaller, so I started designing with that in mind—and I’ve never looked back.
How would you describe your business?
I’m a Canadian fashion designer with over 30 years of experience, creating timeless, multi-way travel fashion that’s made to order using ethical, small-batch practices. Everything is designed in-house and produced in our Toronto workshop, where we handle day-to-day production. For larger collections, we collaborate with a local woman owned garment manufacturer who specialize in small runs and have expert artisans on their team. We have been working together for over 20 years.
Our fabrics are all easy-care, wrinkle-free, and chosen specifically for travel—they pack down light and don’t take up too much carry-on real estate. I don’t believe in manufacturing my own textiles because the world is full of beautiful fabrics just waiting to be transformed. I work with Canadian textile suppliers who travel globally to source materials that meet my travel checklist: lightweight, durable, versatile, and kinder to the environment.
We release collections through Trunk Shows, where customers order together. This allows us to produce exactly what’s needed, minimizing waste while offering thoughtful, travel-friendly fashion designed to collect over time.
What are your bestselling products?
Our best-selling product is the Wear Ever Skirt Dress—a timeless, multi-way piece that has become a cult favourite among my customers (many of whom now collect it in every colour and fabric). It can be worn as a strapless dress, a short sleeve slouch dress, high waist skirt, top, or a maxi skirt, making it the ultimate travel companion. It’s elegant enough for a night out, comfortable enough for a plane ride, and casual enough for a beach day—truly, it’s wherever you want it to be.
What makes it so popular is the versatility, the flattering cut away from the body fit, the easy-care fabric and hidden snaps for multi way possibilities unique to our brand. We make it in luxurious stretch fabrics—all incredibly soft, wrinkle-free knits that drape beautifully and feel like a dream to wear. It doesn’t cling, it moves with your body, and it’s lightweight, so it packs down to practically nothing in your suitcase. It also never goes out of style, making it a forever piece.
Each one is made to order in our Toronto workshop or by one of our trusted local artisans, using ethical small-batch production. No mass manufacturing—just thoughtful, well-made fashion engineered to give women freedom, ease, and feel prepared wherever they go.
