What inspired you to start your business?
My father started making socks the year I graduated high school—it was always a unique and special part of our family. Years later, I found myself drawn to business, marketing, and the idea of being more involved in the family business. I mean, how many people can say they have a sock mill in the family?
Living in the Kootenays, surrounded by people who love the outdoors and value quality gear, I decided to jump in with both feet and bring a dedicated sock brand to our region. Over the years, I’ve become more involved in the sock-making process alongside my dad, and our relationship has never been stronger.
How do you describe your business?
We make high-quality Merino wool socks from start to finish—and we’re proud to be one of the few sock manufacturers in Canada. Our raw materials are sourced from a Canadian spinning mill, and we use RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified wool to ensure ethical and sustainable practices.
Each pair starts with 100% Merino wool. During the knitting process, we incorporate nylon and spandex to add shape, reinforce high-wear areas, and provide that stay-up-all-day fit. The final product is 82–83% Merino wool—a high Merino content that delivers comfort, durability, and performance.

What’s your favourite local Montreal shop?
I really love Happy Gut—it’s made locally in Castlegar, it’s refreshing, and it’s good for you. Definitely try the root beer!
