What inspired you to start your business?

I’ve always been an Artist. ♡ But, as a teenager I began experiencing Mania & Psychosis – and eventually I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. It was then that my Fascination with Imagination collided with my experience of Mental Illness… & a * CRaZY and BEAUtifUL WORLd * was born. ♡ Art became a way to heal myself by transforming my experience of reality into something I could share with others. So, I started my business & began selling my art. ♡

How do you describe your business?

My * CRaZY and BEAUtifUL WORLd * is intentionally filled with an abundance of Love and Imagination. ♡ I find inspiration by trying to capture the ‘ fLUOReSCeNt eUphORia ‘ that I experience during some of my Manic episodes. ♡ My Art is Black and White to represent the duality of this world. I believe the experiences of being human are like a spectrum of colours, a symphony of hues – and I want my art to remind us that in this black and white world… We ARe RAiNbOWS. ♡

What’s your bestselling product & why do you think it’s so popular?

I really can’t say. I sell only Original Art so all of the items that are available for purchase on my Website are one-of-a-kind. However, I tend to sell together multiple listings of my Original Black and White Abstract Paintings on Canvas, as well as my Original Face Paintings. Customers love that they can create their own unique Art Collection. ♡

I’d say customers love my Original Abstract Paintings on Canvas because they are black and white & charmingly childlike – with the perfect balance of sophisticated, playful and absolutely adorable. ♡ Being black and white, my Paintings are classic & timeless – wonderfully complimenting any decor. ♡ And my Original Abstract Face Paintings on Canvas are bold, unique & one-of-a-kind – together they create a striking art collection for any gallery wall. ♡

What’s your favourite product from your own shop right now?

Besides my Paintings, I’m also *very excited* to announce I’ve just finished creating my ‘ 110 Art Cards in a Box ‘ ! ♡ This 110 Black and White Abstract Art Cards Collection is in a solid high-gloss box with 110 semi-gloss cards that were professionally printed overseas. They’re a *fun* way to learn about Abstract Art by creating endless combinations – perfect for Children, Art Students or anyone with a love for Abstract Art! ♡

What’s your favourite local Calgary shop?

I live just off 17th Ave SW in the community of Connaught. It is a beautiful neighbourhood within walking distance to many wonderful shops and restaurants along The Red Mile. I have many favourite shops like Steeling Home, Golden Bell, Butter Block Bakery and Rustic Sourdough Bakery. ♡ I also love walking by the Bow River and exploring other wonderful shops like Pages in Kensington & Fair’s Fair in Inglewood. ♡
