What inspired you to start your business?
The inspiration for Maple Beaver and our flagship product, “The Greatness Box,” came from a heartwarming conversation with my four-year-old son during a family trip to the U.S. After seeing the famous red cap, he innocently asked for a similar Canadian hat. That request led to the realization that Canada doesn’t need to be made great again—we already are. Together, we coined the phrase “Always Great, Forever Grateful,” which resonated deeply and became the cornerstone of our brand and products. The timing couldn’t have been more appropriate, as around the same time, there was a rising need to visibly showcase our pride and stand confidently against external challenges. When my son wore his own cap featuring this message, it drew public attention and appreciation, inspiring me to transform this simple idea into a meaningful movement.
The philosophy of the Maple Beaver brand is to encapsulate the spirit of Canada, aptly conveyed by the brand name itself. Starting with the Greatness Box and our “Always Great, Forever Grateful” products, we aim to expand into additional product categories that consistently reflect Canadian excellence and craftsmanship.

Inspired by Canada’s most enduring symbols—the industrious beaver representing resilience and craftsmanship, and the iconic maple leaf symbolizing authenticity and growth—Maple Beaver creates products that embody the essence of Canadian identity.
