How would you describe your business?
The Maple Market is an artisan boutique that features products made by small businesses all over Canada but I would also love to think of us as a community. We really enjoy organizing different popup markets and letting other businesses use our space after hours to host different workshops and events.
What inspired you to open your shop?
I wanted to be able to work with and support other Canadian businesses on a larger scale. After years of participating in markets with my candle business, Olive & Ronnie I was able to network with so many amazing business owners. The Maple Market has not only allowed me to create a space and provide a platform for all my favourite local businesses but connect with so many new ones.

What’s your best selling product and why do you think it’s so popular?
Some of our most popular items right now are pet accessories, activewear, wooden signs and of course, our gourmet chocolate and freeze dried candy. But honestly our best selling products are always changing, everyday is completely different and that’s what I love about it!
On top of being able to find one-of-a-kind products, I think artisan boutiques are so popular because customers can feel all the love and care that went into creating everything. The energy just feels different when you enter a store like The Maple Market, also it always feels good to shop small and support local.
