Best Consignment Stores In Calgary

I love consignment stores both as a way to give the clothes that no longer serve me a new life, and to find amazing and unique pieces that are new to me. I have been consigning my clothes for years and have been consignment shopping for many years before that. I think it is such a good way to make back some money to replenish your wardrobe with fresh pieces, and to continue to shop while being mindful of sustainability.

I wanted to share with you my ten favourite Consignment Stores in Calgary (in no particular order), I hope you find one that speaks to you and your style!

About the author: Hey! My name is Isabella and I am a personal shopper in Calgary. I have been in the fashion industry in some way for almost all of my life, and I have a passion for all things style! I started shopping second hand when I was young as a way to experiment with fashion and expression on my teenage budget, and I fell in love with it.

Vespucci

If you are on the lookout for designer consignment, I would definitely put Vespucci at the top of your list. Vespucci is a huge store filled with anything and everything you could want in terms of second-hand designer shopping. Vespucci can feel a bit overwhelming at first glance, as there is so much to look at, but if you take the time to go through the racks, you won’t be disappointed with what you find. The prices are definitely up there due to the higher end brands they offer, but that being said, you will be able to find some great discounts on brand name items that are in amazing condition!

The Peacock Boutique Consignment

The Peacock Boutique, with 17th avenue, Inglewood, and Kensington locations, is a great spot for consignment shopping in Calgary. The Peacock Boutique always has great options, and is laid out in a very satisfying colour-blocked way. The pieces here are pretty well priced, and I always enjoy my time looking through the new options they bring in. This is also a place where I have consigned my own pieces multiple times, as they have a great consignor system. You can log onto your online portal and see how much money you are owed, which exact items of yours have been sold, and for what price. Overall I would highly recommend a visit to any of Peacock Boutiques locations.

The Peacock Boutique Consignment (17th Avenue)

814 16 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0S9

The Peacock Boutique Consignment (Inglewood)

1218C 9 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0T1

The Peacock Boutique Consignment (Kensington)

1145 Kensington Crescent NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1X7

Danielle’s Consignment Boutique

Danielle’s Consignment Boutique is a bit of a hidden gem on 17th Ave, as it is easy to miss if you are just walking by! Danielle’s Consignment is inside the Devenish Building, and is definitely worth a visit. This store has an amazing vibe, great prices, and it is exactly what their sign says: “A Budget Fashionistas Dream”. I always have an amazing time looking through what they have to offer, and can always find what I am looking for. I would suggest a trip here if you need a cute dress, or some great jeans for a good price.

Corner Luxe Consignment

Corner Luxe, a new addition of 17th Ave shopping, is for the lovers of all things designer, specifically those who have the luxury taste without wanting to pay the luxury prices.

Corner Luxe is a great store with incredibly friendly staff who are there to help you with anything and everything you need. I would definitely check out Corner Luxe if you are looking for a designer handbag or dress that is second hand but looks good as new.

Feisty Consignment

Feisty Consignment is a great spot to visit in Mission! In the corner of the strip mall, it is a bit unassuming from the outside, but when you get in, you will be pleasantly surprised by what you see! The store has amazing vibes, great prices, and great markdowns on a ton of items too (and a vintage pink sofa I am obsessed with). The people here are always super friendly, and very helpful. The store itself is a pretty good size, so I would visit here when you have some time to browse and find the perfect thing.

Article Apparels

Article Apparels is a great option for Calgary Consignment. Not far from Feisty Consignment it is tucked away just off of 4th Street on the residential street. Article Apparels is adorable even from the outside, it is in a little house with a picnic table outside. Inside is no different, the store is so well organized and designed, and the space is used perfectly. I would suggest a trip to Article Apparels, they have an amazing selection of clothing items, as well as cute household items, accessories, and stationery.

Trends Fashions Ltd.

I lived in Kensington throughout my teenage years, so Trends Fashions holds a special place in my heart, and probably the award for the Consignment store I have personally visited the most. Trends is a great spot to visit if you are looking for great items, or brands you recognize, for really good prices. Their store is very well organized by category and colour, so you can easily find the section you are looking for. Trends usually has a fun array of items so you can always find something cute, they also often have a great selection of activewear, which I love to get for a bit cheaper than buying it new.

Clothes Up & Personal Plus Size Fashions Inc.

Clothes Up and Personal is a Plus Size consignment store in Calgary that has been in business since 1999. This is the best spot in Calgary to find amazing plus size items, from brand name, to more casual styles, for great prices. Clothes Up and Personal is an amazing place that makes everyone who walks through the door feel welcome and who are always ready to help you find the perfect piece. I would suggest a trip to this store if you wear a size 12 and up, and you are looking to grab some really high quality items that feel like new and are priced really well. They also have a lot of great markdowns throughout the year, so I would keep my eye out for those too!

Clothing Bar Boutique

Clothing Bar Boutique is in Marda loop, and has three stories of adorable finds. The store is broken up into the main floor, the ‘cave’, and ‘the loft’. The main floor and loft have lots of fun things including a full ‘Aritzia’ rack, as well as a Jenny Be Free ‘Charm Bar’, where you can make your own charm bracelets and necklaces. The ‘Cave’ features all their items that are 50% off, and has $15 and $5 sections! Whatever you are looking to spend, or what you are looking to find, I would say you would be able to find it at Clothing Bar Boutique.

Urban Thrift Consignment Boutique

Urban Thrift is a great consignment store on Center St. that offers great options for both men’s and women’s clothing. Urban Thrift is a super welcoming environment, they have great decor, and great finds.

Here they price the clothes in a unique way, the initial price is set on the tag, and then after 1 month it automatically discounts, and again for another month. All three prices are listed on the tag, so if you fall in love with something out of your price range, you can test your luck and wait until it drops in price. At Urban Thrift they also sell products from local Calgary brands, so you are able to support multiple local business owners at once. I would definitely check out Urban Thrift for some great deals, and some western wear gems.
