I started my business after becoming a mom who was tired of low quality dishware for my kids. I was constantly replacing bowls, plates and lunchboxes that would crack, chip and have lingering smells even after thorough washing. After learning more about micro plastics I became material obsessed. That’s when I discovered the benefits of stainless steel tableware and lunchware for my kids. Not only was in more durable and high quality, I also had much better peace of mind knowing that I was reducing the amount of microplastics in my kitchen.

My background is in consumer product marketing, and I bring that same attention to quality, function, and design into every Bare Ware product. My best selling product has been the 5 compartment lunch box! Families love it because it takes the stress out of packing balanced lunches with perfectly sized sections for mains, snacks, fruits, and little treats all in one place. It’s made from food-grade stainless steel, so it’s completely plastic-free, doesn’t stain or hold odours, and holds up to daily school life. One little customer even described it as ‘bullet proof’! It’s become our most popular product because it’s a simple swap that makes a big difference for kids, parents, and the planet.
I think the 5-compartment lunch box is so popular because parents don’t realize how much better stainless steel is until they experience it especially for something that gets used 200+ times a year. I am currently loving our Bare Bowls! There are wrapped in a removable BPA-free silicone sleeve so they are so quiet (when kids inevitable bang their tableware on the table :). It’s also a soft touch material which feels really nice in your hands. The silicone sleeve also prevents slipping against the table which is a great benefit for early eaters.
