Intuitive Email Workflows & Sequences

When it comes to email marketing you can choose to send your newsletters whenever you have something to share with your audience or you can set up workflows so the subscriber is sent automated emails in a series. Personally, I recommend using a mix of these two strategies.

When you only email your audience about a sale coming up or a new product launch and are always selling to them, it doesn’t feel great as an audience member. That’s where workflows and ‘nurturing your audience’ comes in.

Flodesk workflows are so easy to use and incredible intuitive. Once you decide what workflow you want to create, you can easily start setting it up and picking whether you want to send an email, have a time delay, and ask your audience to take action by answering a question.

An example of a workflow I’ve created for the Shop Local CANADA community is to send specific emails based on which province people live in. This allows me to really tailor my emails to make them more relevant.

For example, people that live in Nova Scotia will be sent specific emails about local Nova Scotia businesses automatically throughout the year once I add them to the Nova Scotia audience segment. It’s pretty wonderful knowing that my email list is working for me and continuing to share about local shops even when I’m not manually sending the emails.

Another business tool that I highly recommend for small business owners is Canva. It’s a tool that allows you to easily design graphics and other branded pictures for your business. It’s a really great tool that many business owners already use. Normally you have to download the image, pdf or whatever you’re working on in Canva and then re-upload it to Flodesk. Not anymore!
