Covent Garden Market

The Covent Garden Market is an incredible indoor market in London, Ontario. This market has some incredible history to it – it’s actually been active since 1835. Along with a huge indoor market in a beautiful building, they also host different events and have a farmer’s market with vendors outside throughout the year.

Whether you’re looking for salt water taffy, chocolate, flower bouquets, lunch, or handcrafted products for unique gifts, the Covent Garden Market has it all. They even host fun events outside in the plaza at the front of the building year-round. So if you’re looking for things to do in London, I recommend checking their events page for upcoming events. It’s always a great place to spend a morning or afternoon in London.

During the holidays they decorate and set up a really beautiful area in front of the market. It includes everything from a skating rink, live music, a big Christmas tree, and many spots for Instagram worthy pictures.

I go to this market a few times a year when visiting family and it’s become a favourite among my family. There’s even a kids theatre company (it’s called Original Kids) on the second floor of the market. I’ve spent many afternoons enjoying my nieces theatre performances here. It’s always great to do a little shopping and then head to their show.

The Covent Garden Market is definitely a place I recommend visiting if you’re looking to discover many local London Ontario shops all under one roof.

Covent Garden Market Parking

One of the things that makes this market so convenient is that there’s parking underground. There’s multiple levels for parking and we’ve never had an issue finding a spot. Make sure you bring your ticket with you in the market for validation because they offer:

  • 2 hours of free parking during the market on Saturdays
  • 1 hour of free parking during the market between Monday to Friday

If you’re there longer, parking is $3 for 30 minutes to a maximum of $15.
