What inspired you to start your business?

Our story is actually the heart of our brand. My daughter Idil was dealing with acne that would not go away, and as her mom, I was determined to find a natural solution. I studied at a skincare formulation school and started making my own natural products for her in our kitchen, and seeing her skin clear up was truly amazing. That journey from frustration to discovery sparked a passion we never expected. My daughter and I decided to start Sunday Routine to help others achieve glowy, brighter skin with our two-step products.

How would you describe your business?

Our journey started at home, but my passion for helping my daughter led me to get a diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation. That knowledge, combined with our shared vision, is the heart of Sunday Routine. Today, we handcraft small batches of our products which are all certified clean, certified vegan, and certified cruelty-free in Calgary, AB, putting care and knowledge into every bottle and jar.

Our Pineapple Enzyme Melting Cleansing Balm

Why do you think it’s so popular?

Our balm is a gel-to-milk formula that provides a spa-like experience. The 2-in-1 balm can be used as a daily cleanser or as a make-up remover. The balm starts as a gel and emulsifies into a milky texture upon contact with water (when using it as a daily cleanser). The balm is hydrating and does not strip the skin of its natural oils. As a make-up remover, the balm should be massaged onto the skin using clean, dry hands and wiped off with a damp cloth. Our balm has pineapple enzymes for gentle exfoliation and brightness, but we also packed it with soothing ingredients like cucumber and oat, plus a boost of hydration from squalane and other nourishing oils.

What’s your favourite product from your shop right now?

My personal favourite is our Guava Glow Face Oil. It doesn’t just sit on top of my skin. I truly love how it absorbs so quickly. Its lightweight and leaves my skin soft, radiant, glowy and not greasy. It’s also easy to apply and I love using it with my gua sha.
