What inspired you to start your business?
Maple Sleep came from a simple frustration: pillows are often sold as if one shape should work for everyone, even though people sleep in very different positions and need different amounts of lift and support. We wanted to make pillow shopping feel more practical. Instead of asking someone to guess from vague labels, Maple Sleep starts with how they actually sleep and helps them find a pillow profile that makes sense for their body, mattress, and comfort preferences.
How do you describe your business?
Maple Sleep is a Canadian pillow shop focused on fit-matched pillows made in Canada. Shoppers can build directly if they already know the height and feel they want, or they can use our guided fit quiz. The quiz looks at sleep position, mattress feel, body build, and common comfort clues like needing more shoulder fill, wanting a flatter setup, or changing positions through the night.
The result is a specific Maple pillow profile, from very low-lift options to more supportive builds for side sleepers. Our goal is to make pillow buying less random and more understandable: one recommendation, a plain explanation of why it fits, and 90 days to confirm the feel at home. If the first profile is not right, the free fit replacement helps the customer move to a better match.
What’s your bestselling product?
Our main product is the Maple Sleep fit-matched pillow line. Because the brand is built around matching, the best choice is not one generic pillow for everyone. Why do you think they’re so popular?
