What inspired you to open your shop?
We took inspiration from our kitchen and turned it into skincare products that work. It all started when we decided to get creative with a flourishing rosemary plant. Rather than using it all for cooking, we turned it into a simple homemade body scrub that delighted our friends and colleagues. We were inspired with how simple and healthy skincare can be, and seeing how complicated it’s become – we offered a simple, natural solution. With herbs grown in our garden and locally sourced ingredients – Jessica and Kiersten launched our line of fresh, skincare products in 2013.
How would you describe your business?
We’re inspired by nature, and it shows in our ingredient listings. You’ll see only 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly ingredients and materials used to make our products. Our manufacturing process is fresh and fun. At Scrub Inspired our team spend their days deseeding pomegranates, chopping fresh pineapple, zesting lemons, and dicing fresh herbs. We use natural exfoliates, rich butters, essential oils, and other skin loving ingredients. Our mandate is to always use all natural ingredients, you will never see any parabens or artificial ingredients. If you wouldn’t eat it, why put it on your skin?
What’s your best selling product and why do you think it’s a favourite?
Oatmeal Coffee – Face and Body Scrub
The Oatmeal Coffee scrub is our undefeated top seller, and for a reason! We formulated this scrub to drive results. Jessica actually designed this scrub to target her stubborn acne when she couldn’t find any other products that worked. Caffeine in your cup gets your energy flowing, caffeine on your skin paired with cinnamon and turmeric is known to increase blood circulation to the top of your skin which reduces cellulite, fine lines, and wrinkles. What’s your favourite product from your own shop?
The Coconut Colada facial mask bundle. Winter is approaching and we all need a weekly trip to the tropics. So we made this bundle for easy gifting this holiday season.
