Ovo Ceramic Studio is one of our favourite Canadian Etsy shops and the latest pottery piece we’ve purchased from a Canadian pottery artist.

Their mugs are sturdy and feel great in your hands. They feature a combination of muted colour with a pop of vibrant teals, blues, oranges and yellows which give their mugs the perfect balance of elegance and vibrance.

Using different shapes of mugs along with etched designs and patterns really makes the Ovo Ceramic Studio mugs stand out. They keep adding colours and new shapes to their shop so we might have to keep adding more to our own collection.

The mug shown here is the one we ordered from Ovo Ceramic Studio. We chose the cone-shaped style and really like how it feels in our hands. It feels really durable and is very well made. We plan to keep adding to our collection with other colours. We do want to note that the colour in the listing picture is different than the colour we received. The listing picture shows a brighter teal colour.

What inspired you to open your shop?

I love what I do.

How would you describe your business?

I started working with clay in Brazil, then after 2 years I left my former profession behind and moved to Canada to go an art school. As soon as I graduated, I started working as a professional. My work is mainly wheel thrown, and I make all my glazes.

What’s your best selling product and why is it so popular?

Mugs are the most popular.

They’re popular because I offer different shapes, and I also have around 15 different glazes. My mugs are made with love on the wheel with white clay or brown clay.
