What inspired you to start your business?
In 2024 I lost my mom to stage 4 breast cancer. As her caretaker, I started researching everything I could to give her a better quality of life. What I found shocked me. The everyday products she had used her whole life, her skincare, shampoos, soaps and makeup, were full of hormone-disrupting ingredients. Her doctors gave her two months. We gave her a year.
Removing those toxic products from her life made a difference we could actually measure. When she finally passed, she went peacefully. That experience changed me completely and I knew I had to do something with it.
That’s why I started Sundae Bliss. I make small-batch grass-fed tallow skincare from one of the most natural ingredients on earth, proudly supporting Alberta agriculture and the farming community I call home. Every jar is made with the same intention I had standing by my mom’s side: to protect the people I love.
How do you describe your business?
Sundae Bliss is a small-batch tallow skincare company based in Calgary, Alberta. We source beef suet directly from Alberta farmers who raise their cattle grass-fed and antibiotic-free, because what goes into the animal ends up on your skin. We dry render our tallow low and slow to preserve every nutrient. It’s an old, intentional process that takes time. We don’t skip it.
Most skincare products are up to 70% water. Sundae Bliss is 100% oil-based, meaning every single ingredient is actually doing something for your skin. No fillers, no preservatives, no hormone disruptors. Just clean tallow from animals raised the right way. Customers tell us it absorbs without feeling greasy, calms redness, and balances skin without clogging pores. It works with your skin, not against it.

Why do you think it’s so popular?
Blue Moon is our best seller because it goes on like a cloud, absorbs without any grease, and actually calms the redness and irritation that other products ignore. And no, it doesn’t smell like beef.. We start with grass-fed, grass-finished Alberta tallow, dry rendered low and slow through a multi-step purification until it’s completely clean. Then we whip it with Blue Tansy, Frankincense, and squalane into a cloud-like cream that melts on contact. Blue Tansy’s natural compound Chamazulene calms inflammation and redness at the source, Frankincense smooths fine lines and strengthens the skin barriers.
Blue Moon is 100% oil-based packed with with vitamins A, D, E and K. Customers come to us with skin that has tried everything. Blue Moon is usually the product that finally works!
What’s your personal favourite product from your shop right now?
My personal favourite is the Creme De La Eye Cream. We infuse real organic vanilla beans and real organic coffee beans directly into the tallow to create it, which makes the process incredibly tedious and that’s why it’s a limited edition. But it’s worth every extra step. Personally it has visibly reduced my crow’s feet and brightened the skin around my eyes in a way nothing else has. Customers feel the same way. Every time we release a batch, it sells out fast.
